The first of its kind in the region, 101 Stone Chimney Place was the brainchild of the Brunswick County Association of Realtors®, and it has quickly catapulted to great success, becoming the top-choice facility for every important function in the area.
“When our membership doubled in 2005, the association saw the need for a meeting facility that was large enough to host our membership meetings, as we had outgrown most places in Brunswick County,” says Susan P. Pike, CEO of the Brunswick County Association of Realtors. “With the thought in mind of building a room that large, we knew it needed to serve more of a function than sitting empty a good portion of the year, so we decided to design a banquet and meeting center as a non-dues revenue generator.”
Named for its street address, 101 Stone Chimney Place was completed in mid-December 2007. It offers classic décor that is universally appealing. The facility was well-thought-out and offers unmatched versatility, with options available to meet the very specific needs of each event.
For the executives, 101 Stone Chimney Place has a Board Room that seats 18 people. Whether for a think-tank session or a finance meeting, the space offers wireless Internet (which is available throughout the building), conference calling and other high-end technology.
Another example of well-planned design is in the Education Classroom. This space boasts seating for 30 in a lecture-style area with, of course, wireless
Internet and the latest and greatest in meeting tools—an interactive white board. As most adults are visual learners, this unique device is perfect for the widely used PowerPoint presentations, making every educational session more effective and productive. The Education Classroom is great for professional organizations, trade associations, insurance groups, community groups or any business whose field requires continuing education or training.
